Starting next Tuesday, October 6th we are embarking on what stands to be an amazing adventure…

Forget cool artwork or intriguing videos, this adventure is straight old school/organic/ghost-fest/in your face seeking the presence of God.

It’s 40:SAP!!!

Check out what Pastor Dino has to say about it:

So what is 40:SAP? This Tuesday, October 6, I will begin a 40 day Spiritual Adventure Pursuit, and I would love for you to join me. It will be a time of fasting, praying, reading His word - and I think some spontaneity in how He speaks to us. I think it is so crucial to press in and seek God’s presence right now and I think He is going to do something big. With the state of the economy, the upcoming election and the crazy things happening in our world we just need to hear from Heaven and receive the Holy Spirit’s guidance regarding our lives, families, churches and resources. I have huge expectation for this season!

Are you in?

So, what’s it going to be?  Its a risky/dangerous deal but what if during the next 40 or so days God’s presence showed up and rocked your world?  I dont know about you, but for me that is a risk worth taking.  Will you join us in our pursuit of Him?

Much Love,

Pastor T

What do these three men have in common?
No, they didn’t just eat alot of spinach.
No, they didn’t just drink alot of milk.
No, they aren’t JUST ridiculously strong and manly.
What’s their secret, you ask?!
EPIC.
Yeah, that’s right. They all have once experienced the amazingness that is EPIC.
A little bit of Pathfinders, a little bit of Refuge, and a whole ‘lotta Jesus.
So if you want to get in on the AWESOMENESS, make sure that you’re there tomorrow- Wednesday, September 17, 2008 for EPIC service at the HPC Annex C. Word.

We apologize for the delay in posting, but just in case you didn’t notice, we had a rather large HURRICANE try to take us out last week. God was faithful, though, and although BR might’ve been knocked down (power-wise) for awhile, we’re definitely not out! In fact, with the storm bringing the darkness (literally), it has allowed the body of Christ to shine it’s beacon of hope to the entire community. You can read about all of the awesome recovery outreaches that HPC has been doing at the following websites:

And for those of you who want to get involved in all of the awesome things that God is using our church to serve the community through, sign up to be a volunteer here:

In other news, the PINC Conference has been postponed for now, so stay tuned for the rescheduling of that event. All lifegroups that were scheduled to meet this weekend are cancelled, and Pathfinders will meet at the Highland Road Main Campus this Wednesday, September 10, 2008. For more instant updates, be sure to check out the Pathfinder Twitter page (you can get updates sent straight to your phone) at:

We hope everyone stayed safe during the storm, cause we can’t wait to see y’all soon!

What an awesome week we’ve had in the Pathfinders ministry! First, we kicked the semester off with our crossover service where we not only got to see our friend Ronald Jenkies, but we also got to see two up-and-coming future Olympians, Christopher Phelps and Nastia Comostinky! If you missed their debut, you can click here for the action.

The fun continued on Saturday with our Back to School Banzai Blitz. We started off at the Healing Place Athletic Complex (HPAC) with a game of good old fashioned kickball, then headed to Chick Fil A for lunch, then went to Celebration Station for games and putt putt , which was followed by a massive scavenger hunt at the Mall of LA, and finished it off with dinner at California Pizza Kitchen.

The whole day was pure insanity, but I think that the craziest part was all of us running through the Mall of LA trying to complete the list of things that were given to us to get caught on camera. This is what the list looked like…we had to take a picture of:

-a picture of someone dancing with someone on the street, our team taking a picture with a Barbie doll or being dressed up as Ken/Barbie, someone hula hooping, a cowboy hat, toe socks, someone on our team doing a trick on a skateboard, a pony, someone playing a tambourine, our team playing an Olympic sport, a pink umbrella, a beanie baby, something that was made in Switzerland, yellow pillow case with funky designs on it, silly putty in the design of a pencil, a picture with a manikin, a picture with a store worker, one of our team members pretending to faint while getting the assistance of an innocent bystander, the autograph of a janitor, someone eating the biggest bite of ice cream possible, a business card from a random store, someone blowing into a seashell as if it were a trumpet, someone on our team kissing a fish, any document issued by the federal government, and a picture of the cutest kid alive.

Phew! Needless to say, we kept busy. Here are some pics of one team who completed almost the entire list:

As you can see, there’s never a dull moment when it comes to Pathfinders, so make sure you don’t miss service this week…it’s Wednesday, August 27 from 6:30-8:30pm at the HPC Annex A. There’s going to be a huge life group fair and maybe another air horn…?? Stay tuned. :)

For those of you who missed all of the craziness last night, we kicked off the Fall semester in true Pathfinders style. Between Mr. Jenkees, Michael Phelps’ little brother, an air horn, a TON of free pizza, and JESUS, the night was nothing short of amazing

jenkees copy.jpg

Pastor Tyler continued the series Jenkees: “Things Aren’t Always as they Seem” by challenging us to put some power behind our passions and change the world in the name of Christ. Pretty powerful stuff. If you haven’t seen the videos of our friend Mr. Ronald Jenkees, you can check him out by clicking HERE.

And just a reminder for everyone- don’t forget about the BACK TO SCHOOL BLITZ this SATURDAY, AUGUST 23. We’re meeting at the HPC Annex at 11am and having a day of insanity and fun that will finish up around 9pm. Make sure to bring $35 and a sense of adventure, because you never know what’s next…
