The heart of HPC is to carry our mission to be a healing place for a hurting world to the nations. You can be a part of that by being involved in short-term mission trips sponsored by HPC. Below are some of the awesome opportunities that HPC will have to touch the world. You can also read stories about past trips and how they not only impacted the communities that were traveled to, but how these trips impacted the lives of the people who brought the message of the Gospel to a foreign land.

2006 Missions Report

In 2006, 91 people will participate in a mission trip. These 91 participants will have traveled 754,940 roundtrip miles. 9 mission teams (or 138 people) have come in to HPC to help rebuild the New Orleans area and work at our Donaldsonville campus. Countries visited: Rome, Italy; Manaus, Brazil; Swaziland, Africa; Tanzania, Africa; Lima, Peru; Acuna, Mexico; Berlin, Germany; Jerusalem, Israel; Kiev, Ukraine, Sydney, Australia; Kemerovo, Siberia, Mozambique, Africa. We supported 54 missionaries a month; sending out $406,840.00 a year in support. [read more ...]

Refuge in Peru Recap

This summer our high school ministry (refuge) went on a short term mission’s trip to Lima, Peru and brought along 8 students and 4 leaders whose lives were forever changed. While there we we’re able to partner with a great local church called Comina de Vida which is located in the center of Lima. The first day we got there we dove right into the poorer areas of the city to reach out to the neighborhoods where many have been forgotten. [read more ...]

Children's Team in Africa News

At one of the Pastor's churches that we work with in Mwanza, a Muslim woman became a Christian a couple of weeks before the children's crusade happened. Her husband was furious because he was a radical Muslim. I can't go into all of the details but he had plotted evil against our pastor friend and his church. But on the way to fulfil his plans, he started feeling some pains in his stomach which got his attention. Then he heard the Lord tell him that this was his time to choose. The Lord told him to please choose him or something was going to happen. The man showed up at the crusade and sat intently listening. At the end when the altar call was made, he came forward very quickly. He said he was ready to receive the Lord. Other things have happened since we prayed with him that I can't share but believe me, he is radically changed and saved. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!! Just thought you'd like to hear this report. Italy 2006 Recap

It was an honor to see the country of Italy and know that the history of its cities, especially Rome, has impacted our entire planet. It was an honor to stand inside of Paul’s prison with the realization that one of our forefathers of Christianity suffered for Jesus right where I stood. It was an honor to stand in the Catacombs and touch the graves of martyred Christians and really begin to understand the price that the early Christians had to pay.
